Today in university we had SEN and a guest speaker from Clicker 5 - Eleri.
In SEN we discussed what an individual educucation plan (IEP) is and how best to form a graduated approach when using and implementing it. The main point I remembered was to make sure any targets you set the children on an IEP were SMART:
- Specific
- Measurable
- Achievable
- Realistic
- Time Bound
Afterwards we had a talk from Eleri from Clicker 5, a piece of educational software which can be used across the Curriculum. We were showed the basics and made some sentence forming grids and an electronic book. I thought Clicker 5 was really good, and I would consider buying it for use as a trainee teacher and beyond.
